I'm on my way to Dublin to attend a working group meeting. I'm booked on the SWISS flight that leaves Zürich in the afternoon and lands in Dublin at 18h00.
As Ireland is not a member of the Schengen area, me flight will be leaving from one of the gates on the D concourse. There is rather a nice SWISS lounge here. It's not as big as the main lounge, but it also tends not to be so full either.
The decor of the lounge uses a lot of wood, presumably to create that stereotypical Swiss châlet vibe. And it kind of works, actually.
The food options are quite nice too.
As it's the middle of the afternoon, there are no warm option on the buffet.
I grab myself a piece of pie and a coffee and first take a place by the window.
The view out the window is not too shabby either.
Boarding is from a bus gate, which is always a pleasure when you're a geek…
Originally, I'm seated on 2F. The seat pitch is good and comfortable. However, once boarding is complete, I move forward to 1F.
The crew on this flight are great. The Business Class cabin is served by a middle-aged German woman who is very friendly and takes good care of the passenger, despite it being a busy flight. Before departure there's the usual refreshing towel and still water.
The meal service starts with a pre-meal drink, which is served with a packet of nibles.
This is followed by the meal, which is served on a tray directly from the galley.
For a starter, there is a small salad with egg.
There's also the mandatory plate of cheese, which is served with warm bread.
The main course is melanzane parmigiana, which is very good and quite good.
And for dessert there's a piece of Swiss apricot pie - a wähe.
And then to finish the meal, I have a mint tea, which is served with the chocolate.
The weather in Dublin, as was to be expected, is not so good. Still, there are some nice views on the approach.
I retrieve my bag from the belt and make my way outside to catch the bus into the city. The journey takes about thirty minutes to complete.
This was a nice flight with SWISS. The crew were great and the hot meal was quite unexpected and far superior to what they usually serve on Lufthansa.

Having mentioned many positive aspects throughout your report, I am quite surprised to see your final verdict. A 5 of 10 for all, Zurich airport, Swiss and Dublin airport. This seems not to reflect your report. You didn't mention any room for improvement. How comes?
Furthermore it goes into the overall rating of the three to be judged. In case this quite terrible rating is not your final verdict, I strongly suggest to adjust it.
